Quiet at Diagon Alley by Filmchild Quiet at Diagon Alley by Filmchild
I once made a manip of Diagon Alley, which I ended up really hating, not sure if I like this version much better. I was excited when I saw the background as it looked so unusual and it reminded me of the scenic design of A Haunting.
There’s a lot of minute detail to this, people on the stairs at “The Drunken Elf,” little things I find out later that really no one can see if not looking for it. I hope that even with all the mess the viewer can see the hard work to put into it. :blushes:

This is absolutely amazing! Now I want to attempt to make one. I say attempt because I don't think it'll be nearly as good.

Thank you! :aww:

But look, never think you can't do as well as this piece or any other you want to make. The quality will come with practice. I have many artists on my watch list that are better then me, but their art inspires me, so I try to re-create it sometimes. It may or may not turn out the way I expected. :giggle: :faint:

I was actually a little mad at first, I thought you had posted a picture of the Harry Potter park in Orlando - and I don't want to see too many details of it before I go! But then I noticed the cat, and realized this was a photomanip. Very well-done!

For a second I was scared there and I was like, oh no what did I do? Then I read the rest of the comment. :giggle:

No it's not from the Wizarding World park, although I'm so glad it resembles it. :aww: I'm very envious you get to go.

Wow, this is great! You usually see Diagon Alley as being kind of dark and crowded, so it's really fun to see it like this.

(By the way, am I wrong, or is your signature via Sherlock Holmes?)

Well, for me, this is brilliant...has the right feel, the right look...the only problem with this is it's too small, so it's hard to see all the details. But once you manage...wow!

Thank you I'm so glad you like it. I know the details are too small, I tend to forget people can't usually see them.

It's too bad...it's an great work, definitely, has that right "feel" you know...with details more visible, would be even more great, but what to do...

Thank you I'm glad you think so. ;)

I think I might be able to enlarge parts of the alley and make it into a series to show it's detail. I then post the links in order on the original whole piece.
My brother gave me the idea as that's how he shows his detail in his paintings. So who knows that might work.

Never got drunk with an elf,
but doubt if it could be worse,
then doing so with dwarfs...

I hear that dwarfs can get a little wild, I think elves merely pass out. Poor things.
